Nothing brings me greater joy than to create great party favors. It is the easiest way to make everyone attending a party feel welcome and special.
Here are my top 3 tips to simplify the process without compromising style!
Step 1
Typically I start with a container. It can be something like the one shown above or a box or bag. Michael’s and Target usually have great options. I look for something related to my theme and something relatively inexpensive that will not break the bank when I need 15-20. These buckets I found at Michael’s and were about $6.00 on sale.
Step 2
Next, I think about the type of candy that fits with my theme, in this case, holiday, and also will display well in the container. A few tips here, the box candy at Target is usually about $1.00 each and presents well. It is big and makes a statement. Keep in mind; chocolate is always going to be more expensive than other types of candy. In this example, I choose a few things that are big and pop in the bucket like the bubble gum. Also, I do a prototype first with one before I buy all the candy to make sure it fits, and I like the way it looks.
Step 3
Lastly, I think about the packaging. I purchased clear bags from Michaels to wrap these and added a big red ribbon. Normally I will add a sticker or gift tag with the child’s name* but truth be told I made these last minute, about 48 hours before the party.
At a glance, I think these probably cost me about $12.00 total, including the bucket, candy, and wrapping.
Easy, right?
* I can customize the tags and stickers for you with individual names at no extra cost. Just put your request in the notes.
